Hey, I’m HODJE, a Chicago-based indie pop artist with a background in operatic performance and a deep love for songwriting. My music is a blend of both of those influences—drawing from the discipline of my classical training while embracing the free-spirited sensibilities of alternative pop.

My artist name is a tribute to my great-grandmother, Nina Hodge, who was a singer with one of Chicago’s first touring theater companies.

I began working on my debut EP in 2024, which is now set to be released in the summer of 2025. The lead single, “Lake Shore Drive,” comes out on March 4th. It is a bittersweet love letter to Chicago, the city that’s served as the backdrop to my most defining moments as both an artist and a person.

The EP embodies a range of attitudes and emotions—from facetious, to confident, to devastated, to tenacious. At its core, the EP is about exploring, and even embracing, contradictions within ourselves and the complexity of what it means to be human.
